I’ve just picked this up and chatted to support about it. I can’t for the life of me believe it’s how it’s meant to be. It’s very weird. It also doesn’t open on the first snare hit every time playback is started (well for me at least) even if that hit is at 127 velocity.
Isn’t it typical that just after you post something, the answer is right there in front of you?
Just in case it helps anyone else, I found that on the mixer page, when clicking on the “hi-hat” box at the bottom of the mixer, moving over to the right hand side, there is “Level Envelope Releases” . Increasing this value was my answer. 🙂
