Once you did the midi mapping, did any grooves you imported from the groove library sound all screwed up because you changed the midi notes for the drums? Just got the Atom and trying to do the same, I want to map all the extra hits EZ doesn’t show up normally on the atom, extra hi hat hits, snare sounds and cymbal sounds and the different brush hits. Would love to know how if you found a video? Thanks

Since there is no midi learn function for the actual drums and no midi-mapping ability in EZdrummer, how do you customize your pads?

Well I found my own answer posted to this back in 2014!

GUYS, SAVE YOURSELVES A LOT OF HEADACHE!!!! READ THIS.

Make sure that ‘Universal Track Mode’ is checked in your Logic audio preferences.

The MULTI-OUT WILL NEVER WORK IF THIS IS NOT CHECKED!!!
I couldn’t figure out why the multi-outs weren’t coming up in my mixer window when I clicked the + button on the Logic inst track, this is why!

Hey John, yes I know where it is and have done that. All it is giving me is 1 aux!

Multi outs not working when I click the + button on the EZdrummer2 instrument channel in Logic Pro mixer.

Yes, I selected the mutli-channel outs on the EZD mixer.

All I ever get is 1 aux channel added. That’s it. What’s going on?

When it has worked in the past and I open an old session with it all the auxes are crossed out (see attachment)

    Help

Yes of course I did that. That’s not the problem. Sometimes with in the DAW itself, it won’t let you select the appropriate input number that corresponds with the mixer multi-out number, very screwy and un-pro.

EZdrummer is funky, many times the multi out channel numbers don’t correspond to the same numbers as the inputs within Logic or ProTools I notice.

I tried both this evening. definitely a bug that needs fixed.

Drag the midi region info from EZdrummer into Logic on the track where you have EZdrummer instantiated.

It’s alot easier to edit the midi info with Logic’s midi bar window than within EZdrummer.

    Hey all,
new here, but I can add do make sure that ‘Universal Track Mode’ is checked in your Logic audio preferences if using Logic.
I couldn’t figure out why the multi-outs weren’t coming up in my mixer window when I clicked the + button on the Logic inst track,
I found the answer on another forum and thought I’d post it here in case someone else runs into the same problem.
Very pleased with the EZdrummer sounds, I futzed with BFD for years and could never get it to work correctly, would crash etc., wasted a lot of time!
