Click a cymbal and on the right hand side, there are separate volume controls for all drum parts. I found I had to push the cymbals up quite a bit on the stock library.

Yes. Of course you need to have the same packs on the other computer. Also if using edrums then also put the edrum map on it too. If you go to user presets you can see there is an open folder option. Just copy them from there. I do both when I send to a friend who also has sd3.

I just use it in Cubase and control Cubase with icpro. Then again I don’t use sd3 for midi. I keep it in Cubase as I do all my other midi.

It should t be any different. I do this without any problem. Is it to do with how you are monitoring it?

you need to work out asio4all. Choose that in sd3 and then setup the RODECaster in asio4all. I can’t help you with that. I take it the RC doesn’t have its own asio driver?

The sounds alone make it worth more than ezdrummer and it has far more features already. Ezdrummer is more designed for non drummers and ease of use, with lots of features for that. If sd4 comes out I would say it will be an upgrade price if you have sd3.

The onboard audio is the Realtek audio. As far as midi just tick them all in sd3 settings. I would really recommend getting an audio interface with low latency asio drivers. Asio4all works but that and Realtek audio are not great.

Not really. SD3 was around before ezdrummer 3. Sd3 has a huge amount of features that ezdrummer doesn’t have. Always research what you buy and don’t take someone’s word for it. I’m totally happy with sd3 but then again I’d never use bandmate anyway. Can’t possibly see why they could give you anything off when sd3 never had it in the first place. It’s not toontrack who have made the mistake.

Sorry I must have hit some wrong keys. Yes I meant is everything standard. The vh12 also has pressure sense when you push the hats together. As I say I adjusted the td30 after calibrating as it needed a bit extra to get better closed sound.

I’m more bothered about getting  rim shots when head and rim are hit together and rim only when just hitting the rim. Also I would like samples of shallow rim shots (they are higher pitch ) so full rim shot with rim and centre and shallow with rim and edge. PS on all toms. Basically anything that allows a drummer playing edrums get a more natural and instinctive feel.

Have you got the td30/20 preset selected in edrum section? I know this works as I was using a vh12 with a td30 up until a couple of months ago. Also are all the td30 out nites standard? do you mean fully open or just slightly open? I found that once I calibrated the hi hat on the td30 I then adjusted on the td30 to be a but tighter. This never I’m;acted the onboard sounds noticeably
