What exactly? What computer?

basic connection is midi out of mimic to midi in of the midi interface you have connected to your computer. In sd3 choose the midi interface in midi settings. In edrum settings choose the mimic preset. In audio settings choose your audio interface asio driver. It should then work.

Of course the vh14 digital hi hat works with sd3. I’ve been using it for over a year as have many.

If you are not swapping kits, then keep it as simple as you can and use sd3 standalone. Less to go wrong. If you have an m.2 drive with the samples on they load in seconds so you could get away standalone and swapping kits. All depends if you have time between songs. I suspect for worship you will be using one kit only.

I liked the xdrums in sd2 as well, because you could put them where you wanted to. When I moved to sd3 (when it first came out) there were only a few projects I was still working on and just the odd xdrum one. At the time I just remapped again  so can’t help with that.

I just want more edrum improvements. I never use midi packs, I just play in the drum parts from my ekit and then do a bit of editing. I’d hate to see SD4 become overblown at the expense of playability.

Never found this a problem. I like it to be full velocity so I know what it will sound like hit hard.

Also these are different in that one is Mac and the other PC. On the Mac if you use the onboard audio do you get the same? I think this really does matter as I’m using a PC and I’m not seeing this at all. Win 11 current version RME Babyface pro fs. All latest versions including sd3. Sd3 library on M.2 drive on motherboard. All windows tweaks for audio. Also using onboard video ( inbuilt wi fi, Bluetooth and audio disabled in bios)

You should use the download manager to clean up. Left hand side it has the option to do that.

I use Cubase which has a drum editor where you can name all the pieces so not always the obvious way. Plus I like all my midi in one place, which is my DAW.

Yeah I know. I’ve not had chance to get into my studio over the last few days but when I do I’ll record a splash and see what notes, articulations and cc values are involved. If it can be played it can be programmed.
