I use a DAW. For me, the main issue here is that it is easy to edit the CC information in the SD3 standalone app, whereas when tracking in a DAW, the CC info isn’t always accessible. I have looked into midi mapping but have not been able to crack it with Logic Pro. If anyone has tips, I would be quite thankful.
As we all know, eDrum technology is far from perfect. Hot spots and sensitivity issues can easily result in accidental triggers. For example, it’s difficult to get good hi-hat chicks or smoothly transition from closed to open without anomalies. Because of these issues, the ability to edit hi-hat and positioning information is critical.
It would be excellent if Toontrack would A) add the ability to import an mp3 into the standalone app or B) provide mapping information for all major DAWs that INCLUDES CC information.
I’m here also looking for this feature. I use Logic Pro as my DAW, but I prefer editing in SD3 because things like positional sensing and hi-hat articulation aren’t easy to navigate in Logic.
Hey Toontrack, it would be excellent if you could enable us to import backing tracks to which we can play and record drums.
Thanks very much—this solved the issue! No idea how all of the products were installed.
Sorry—let me clarify. In the EZmix UI, I see effects that I’ve purchased in white but I also see unpurchased effects listed in gray (screenshot 1). I think maybe the intention behind this feature is that I can easily click on an effect that I haven’t purchased, and begin the process (screenshot 2); however, it makes searching more difficult. I’m wondering if I can hide the grayed out effects.
