Okay, I just had my PC fixed and it’s working much better now, but unfortunately, I’m still getting the same message of “No MIDI IN device availabe” on the Korg Nanopad with EZ Drummer. I do still have the EZ Drummer DVD software. Should I delete EZ Drummer and re-install the software a second time? It seems to work fine with the Akai midi controller, but the Korg has much better pads than the Akai, as well as 4 more of them, which I prefer. PS-I scratched the EX Drummer Lite since it’s just an inferior version of the regular EZ Drummer I had already purchased.
I thought that the Lite version was different and could be used independently from the regular version. I have never seen the Lite version, and there are no videos available on Youtube that show anyone using it. I guess I will just uninstall it since I can’t get it to work anyway. My main issues is with the Toontrack Solo, and why I cannot install the 64 bit version and why I cannot use a MIDI pad with EZ Drummer. I did a troubleshoot on it’s compatability and according to the results, the 64 bit version is not compatible with my 64 bit PC. I also tried to install it using the “administrative” option, but still no luck. I’m sorry to be such a nuisance, but I was really hoping to use this in my new apartment where I’m not allowed to play real drums. The fact that I can’t even fix these simple issues tells me that I’m going to have a wonderful time trying to use it with the Pro Tools 10 that I just recently installed as well.
Yeah, unfortunately I have 2 malicious hosts that have attached themselves to my PC Core by disguising themselves as a “service” so that I cannot uninstall/remove them without some kind of “permission” ,which is beyond me. The 2 hosts are “Dictionary Boss and Webfetti, and no matter how much I don’t like it, they have wreaked havoc on my PC by constantly bombarding it with advertisements that actually interupt what I’m doing on a constant basis. Everything that my anti-virus software normaly picks up and sends to it’s virus vault (which is usually hundreds to thousands of threats per week) seems to always have the names Dictionary Boss or Webffeti in the “dangerous threats found” section. I guess I won’t ever be using EZ Drummer on this PC. Thanks for the help though.
Okay, I upgraded both Toontack Solo and EZ Drummer, but I was only able to install the 32 bit installer because everytime I try to install the 64 bit version, it quits right before it’s done a displays “error code 1935” then the wizard displays that it cannot complete the action because the wizard was “interupted” befor completeion. Since my PC is 64 bit, aren’t I supposed to install the 64 bit version? Also, I tried to install the EZ Drummer Lite that came with the Korg Nanopad, and I’ve installed it, but I cannot find this “mysterious” Authorization code that I need to finish registration. Both of these drum software programs are getting to be more trouble than they’re worth. I do hope to one day use them. PS- To make matters worse, after updating the software, I plugged in the midi pad and I’m still getting the same “No MIDI IN device available.”
Yes. The drivers for both midi pads are the latest, but I’m not sure what you mean by which version number is reported from Toontrack Solo and EZ Drummer? Is it 1.3.0 as stated when I click help? The drums all work fine with my mouse; they just don’t seem to want to work with the Nanopad all of a sudden, but they worked fine the other day when I first plugged it in.
Okay, strangely enough, the Akai LPD8 is now all of a sudden being recognized by EZ Drummer once again (and I did nothing to make this happen) but when I attempt to use the Korg Nanopad I still get the message “No MIDI IN device available” Could this be from an unknown virus on my computer, or has anyone else experienced something like this? These are the only 2 midi devices I have ever used on this computer and I do prefer the Korg over the Akai because it has better editing software, more pads and the pads are more responsive.
