Sorry for delayed reply. I got rid of that session and started a new one. It crashes when I try and adjust the slide position – the part which is selected (highlighted) in the attached screen shot. I have also tried to attached the session file its self as requested but it says I am not allowed to upload that kind of file here?  I have  3 different Protools crash logs (it is reproducible and therefore happened the same way the 2nd & 3rd time) but the files are too big to upload here. Do you have another way I can send them to you?

Hi, do they show up in your AAX folder on your hard drive?

This seems to have been resolved with the latest update, or at least  I haven’t had the same issue since then

Hi, I had a similar issue with notes hanging. It turned out to be that some midi from the EZkeys packs had data written to the Sustain pedal. Check for this or any other  controllers (expression, foot control etc) in your midi editor.

    Hope this helps

I wasn’t allocated a ticket number. The requests went through but I received no email giving me a number. Can’t remember the exact date but it was about week ago

Hi, I already attached it in my original ticket. I raised 2 tickets using the same project. The 2nd issue is that it crashes both in standalone and within protools when trying to export midi. Anyway, I have attached the project file again as a zip

    Thanks

    Loz

Hi, thanks for the reply. Thats not the issue, there is nothing else playing and I’m using the right tool bar. I can edit the play style in any other part of the song except for 2 sections. I have had this before (not just one one isolated section). As I haven’t done anything different to the sections in question, I can only conclude that this is a bug or bad coding. I raised it as a ticket over a week ago but no moderator has got back to me

I Have the same problem, whether in Standalone or in Protools. Always cuts of the last few bars of the song. I’m on Mojave 10.14.6

    Hi Erik

Thanks for that, its been a big help. I removed the sustain pedal signal and the issue is resolved. I don’t have a sustain pedal as such so I presume in the editing process I must have written the additional midi notes at a point where the sustain pedal was still on but this is not automatically shown in protools. Anyway, thanks very much for your help its much appreciated:o)

Sorry, forgot to attach as zip file. Note how at bar 19 it doesn’t correct itself till bar 23. Then at bar 25 it doesn’t correct till bar 30

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Re the song key transposing the midi – this makes perfect sense once you have imported the midi file into EZbass and you want to change the key but that is not my issue. The problem is that I am setting the correct key of the song in EZbass before I import the midi file (a keyboard midi from EZkeys) and EZbass is incorrectly dropping everything down a semitone.

In the original midi from EZKeys, the song is in the key of B Major. I set EZbass to the key of B Major before importing the midi.  The first 4 notes (for example) should be: E, B, Db (minor) B  but as you can see from the screen shot, when I import the midi it drops everything by a semitone. I.e. the first four notes are now D# A# Cm A#

I am assuming this must be a bug?

    Many thanks

    Loz

Hi, thanks for the info. That being the case, what is the “Export to current song track” function for? Is it the same as just dragging the midi down from the drums or keys card?

Also, I’m still wondering about the issue withe the song key – is this a known bug or am I misunderstanding something? The key of the song is B major but if I set that as the key in EZBass it transposes everything down a semitone. If I leave it at its default (C) it finds the correct notes.

    Thanks for your help

    Loz

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. I understand now why all of the notes were changing key (point 2 above) and that the song needs to be divided into sections. However, it is the functionality of the “Drums & Keys” function that I am struggling with. As I understand it I should be able to generate a bass line that locks in with the drums and follows the chord changes of the keys. I can do both of these things individually but I can not generate a bass line that combines the two.  As I understand it this should be possible using the “Export to current song track” function. This is frustrating because it is primarily for this reason that I bought it.

Anyway, I have raised a ticket as requested

I have not been able to make this work. I have the midi files from XLN but when I try and play these through EZ drummer 2 it does not play the correct mapping. I have imported these files into EZplayer and selected XLN as the source mapping. I select the file and choose EZdrummer from the Map Wrap window but it plays incorrectly. ( I have also tried dragging the midi file directly into the browser but have the same results.

Most of my current songs have the drum tracks in XLN format and the whole point of buying EZplayer was to be able to use them in EZdrummer so if anyone could help me out with this I would be grateful
