Hi all,
Earlier this week I was running SD3, along with Logic in my old Mac with Snow Leopard perfectly fine. However, because of a MIDI input issue (which I resolved separately afterwards) I did a complete uninstall of SD3, deleted all dowloads, including all sound packages and even Product Manager.
Now I’m having a complete nightmare trying to reinstall. After re-downlading Product Manager, every time I run the installation of SD3, I see the VST, AAX and AU components get installed but Standalone does not (screenshot below) so I can’t find the application anywhere in my file directory but it still shows in PM as “Ready to use”.
I contacted support and they told me to delete a plist file from a hidden Library directory, and then reinstall. I did this several times, deleting everything again and reinstalling to the exact same result.
Not sure if that’s how it works but it seems there might be some hidden file in my system telling the installation process not to install the Standalone component. Also worth noting I’m not getting any installation errors.
Would any of you know what might be doing this and how to solve?
Thanks for the help.

Fixed!! It installed the Standalone no problem.
The only weird leftover symptom is that my Roland TD 17 USB MIDI input is triggering SD3 with the USB driver setting as “Generic”, instead of “Vendor”. Not sure how much of an issue it will be in the future but I’m ecstatic that you helped me with the Standalone install.
Thank you SO much!!!!!

Which DAW do use? Do the plug in versions work?

While I could make plugins work, SD3 standalone is not showing anywhere in my file system as it didn’t install from the SD3 package.
All screenshots attached in my first email.
What is the process to reinstall SD3 standalone considering I keep getting the components installed only every time?
I’m also seeing in my account in Toontrack.com that SD3 is showing as installed, which is not.
Might this be the cause why Standalone is not installing?
Hi Unclebass, thanks for the tip. Couldn’t solve the issue unfortunately.
The uninstall file is presumably the same one I’m invoking when uninstalling from Product Manager, so I’m getting the same result.
Also, I’m not given the possibility to change installation location. The only disk choice I have is the main disk of my Mac.
I’ve checked also that during the installation process, going to “custom install”, the opening window only shows me the AAX, AU and VST components but not the Standalone for some reason (attached screenshot).
Any other tips?
