Even when the midi was deleted from the bass track in Cubase the issue was still occurring on just those two notes. See if you can get this link to work and you can have a play around in Cubase and hopefully the same thing happens so it will show what I mean!
I’ve tried to upload just the bass track, but it is still too big. I can send a WeTransfer if that helps?
EDIT: Here is a more specific screenshot…
Will make a WeTransfer now.
Hey Henrik,
I made sure that there was no midi playing from Cubase that was identical to the midi in the EZBass grid editor. I actually deleted the offending Cubase midi bass track to make sure.
When the second bass note of the song played, follow host was disabled and the track stopped playing entirely in the grid editor (but in Cubase the track kept playing without the bass).
There was no identical midi in Cubase and follow host stopped disabling itself after I removed the second note from the EZBass editor and had Cubase play it instead. So basically the first note was played by EZBass, the second by Cubase and then the rest by EZBass again and then it worked. I can only assume it was some kind of bug.
Alright, thanks for that!
Btw, I managed to fix it, but I had to do something kinda weird. For some reason it was disabling itself after the second hit of the bass in the song, so I had to delete that 2nd midi note from EZBass’ grid editor and then bring back the offending note in my DAW instead, and that prevented the problem from occurring again. Very strange, but I managed to fix it that way. If it’s a bug and it has happened to to others then hopefully they’ll be able to fix it this way too until an update fixes it!
