Thanks for the reply John. Is the setting in the attached pic the one you re talking about? When I set it to Yamaha and then saved the project the setting did not get included with the project on the next load. Is there a method to load that setting automatically or do I need to set it manually every time?

Having some issues too during live gigs where the snare will sometimes not trigger on harder hits. This usually doesn’t happen real often but on my last gig I had it start to occur on the bass drum and the crash cymbal. Most notably with those two pads when they were hit together, that was a first for me with issues on those two pads. I’ve been playing SD2 with the Music City add-on for about 2 years now and like everyone else I really love those sounds. As you can see from my setup pics I’m mixing in a couple of acoustic cymbals, this has less to do with SD2 and more to do with getting the levels I would like in the mix (we do our own from stage b/c go using Bose). I’ve been told from sound guys in the audience and other drummers that the mix with acoustic and edrums works pretty well.
Here’s my setup:
Yamaha DTX900
DTX pads (I LOVE these pads, played mesh for a while and one try on these I was sold)
DTX pads are set to XP Wide, I haven’t messed with the settings other than to set them to normal attack setting.
Scarlet 18i20 interface (fantastic tech support group)
Toontrack Solo (use instead of a DAW, lighter system requirements and overall less to go wrong)
Use multi channel output in Solo
Mixer (8 channel, this is on stage with me)
PA – Bose L1M2 (we have three of them)
There are a lot of components in this signal chain that could be contributing but to start with I’m going to ensure that I set this parameter (see attachment) on the next gig. Note to Toontrack – this is a setting that should be saved and not have to set it every time.
