Actually, there’s no need to drag and drop I’ve discovered. Let me put it into context.

I have a midi track I call Bass Sketch (kinda like a thumbnail sketch of a drawing in a sense) where I loaded in EZBass. I had a groove in mind that I wanted to start with, so I played something out on my midi controller keyboard. I was hoping to drag and drop what I had just recorded to the track into EZBass for further tweaking, but it wouldn’t drag and drop.

Reading your post about EZKeys recording, I noticed when I had the EZBass plug-in window open, the MIDI IN was flashing as the track played back.

I simply reset the playhead in Logic to the beginning, pressed the record button in EZ Bass which then caused the play button to “glow”, which I suspect is the record ready state of EZBass. Once I pressed the play button in EZBass, the interface showed a message saying it was unavailable during recording. I played back my midi in Logic and EZBass recorded it note for note.

Voila, there you go. Now I can work on adding articulations and try different grooves.
