Thank you for the hint. I will check it soon. I did not realise that there is a possibility to record a bass track. – But my hint with the EZKeys recording is rather for importing a keyboard track into EZBass for the automatic creation of a bassline by EZBass.

The same problem exists in Logic, see here: https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/logic-crashes-if-i-set-a-slide-between-2-notes-in-different-parts-of-the-song-tr/

Hopefully the fix will be also work for Logic. I’ve only got the reply from Toontrack that I should use “slide in” or “slide out” instead of “slide” and that I should not select more than one note (although both methods give different results). Thank you for posting the problem here!!

    Hi Lance,

my Logic crashes only if the two notes in different song track regions (there must be a cut between the notes in the song track area). I did not try the slide in and out with notes which are a bit separated. But I realised the extra note and did not understand what it is for. – Your explanation with the figures was great for me!

Thank you for your reply. But the result is not the same! If I select two notes (in one region, when there is no crash) I get a slide from the first to the second note. But if I select only one note then I get a short slide over 4 half tones. (see attached figures!) – Furthermore: EZBass should not crash a whole Logic session if I select two instead one note!

I found a provisional remedy for this problem. If you are owner of EZKeys you can proceed in Logic as follows:

Open an additional EZKeys track. Copy the midi region (which should be imported into EZBass) on the EZkey track (on the track in Logic, not the song track of EZKeys) and set a loop for this region in Logic. Press record in EZKeys and play the region in Logic. Stop if the playhead reaches the end of the region. Now copy the recorded region from the EZKeys song track to the „Drag Midi here“-region of the “Drums & Keys”-section of EZ Bass.

Using this method you do not have to export the midi region to the finder and reimport it into EZBass starting from bar 1, then cut the bars with notes (where the region started in Logic) and delete the parts without notes ahead and behind. And the best: Any old regions in EZBass will be kept alive!

Hopefully this will help some of the Logic users!

    Hi Henrik,

here is a very simple project. Open the project, then select the 2 notes (command click on both notes) in the grid editor of EZBass and then click on „use slide style” on selected  notes“. – Then my Logic 10.4.8 with EZ Bass 1.0.2 on my system (OS 10.14.6) crashes!

I have the same problem in Logic Pro 10.4.8. – And when I, as a remedy, export a midi region and load it into EZbass, not only the region (e.g. from bar 14 to 18) is imported but all bars from the 1st bar on. That means that bar 1 to 13 are overwritten. This is very annoying!!! (I told Logic to export the midi as standard midi file (0); but without this option the result is the same!
