    Hi gui grub,

I had this happen to me last year and occasionally this year. 🤔

What I do is to remove the instance that has this error/warning message and then instantiate a new instance. IF you have tracks just copy them to the new instance. At the same time ensure that your sample rate is set to the same as your DAW. I have mine set to 48kHz. It works fine after I do that. I hope this works for you. 👍😎👌 Your English is fine! 👌😉😊

    Cheers

if it’s in yellow, it is disabled! You need to Alt+Click it to re-enabled the instrument.

Ignore this. It was a reply to someone up on page two. Even though I replied to the posting below by clicking on the Reply link, it posted here! 😡👎 I hate this type of Forum software. Makes all the replies out of line.

Still what else would I be doing in these uncertain times!

    Good point! ?

However, for me it’s new music PC that is set up for 24-bit 48 kHz audio running on 64-bit Windows 10.

That said, I will be double checking though ?

One thing I have noticed is that the Track Inspector in Cubase has Instrument Slot (just below the Input Routing) has Superior Drummer 3 written in yellow!

That I believe is an error or a warning… I can’t find out much so far on the internet.

    this is increasingly frustrating!

    Here what I do…

I’m in Cubase 10.5 Pro with a brand new Music PC and brand new UR-RT4 Steinberg interface.

SD3 (3.1.5)  works then doesn’t. When it doesn’t I found that if I remove the VST Instrument and re-add it, then it’s good to go.

A pain but so far that’s my work around…

In standalone… it seems to work okay but I don’t use standalone at all.

I have a template that contains SD3 and was made with SD3 working and a selected preset chosen. The template was saved with no errors.

    1. I load a new project using the template.
    2. New project loads and I save with new name.
    3. I open the folder track where SD3 VST is placed
    4. I launch SD3 and immediately, I get the ‘Audio engine inactive check you audio device’
    5. Remove and re-add my SD3 VST instrument and reload the preset.
    6. Add my MIDI groove and continue working.
    7.  Save and shutdown session
    8. To test, I re-open the just saved project and check SD3 can play … IT DOES!

    Hi Olof,
I have just tried that. My SD3.dll is on my S drive (see image). I placed S: in the Plug-in path and deleted the file at the C:Program FilesCommon FilesVST3Toontrack location.
I changed the path to S: by the Plug in Manager Settings (gear wheel icon) and when I flipped back to the Show Plugin Information (i icon) the path remain unchanged! and shows the previous SD3 version number (3.0.1).

I would try connecting with a cable, if not already!
Has been know to work. WiFi tends to retry if there’s an error in the packets etc. Can be an endless loop or just hanging!

Check under Control Panel then System. You may be able to see some information there.
