Really glad I could be of some help. I know how frustrating that kind of stuff can be.
That’s very odd – there must be something else going on. This works perfectly on my Mac. Sounds like some of the code is hung. I would suggest a complete uninstall/reinstall, and definitely reboot your machine.
It is possible to do what you want if you use EZKeys within a DAW that includes notation and scoring. Several DAWs, such as Logic Pro, include the ability to add lyrics in their notation window. After composing your piece in EZKeys you would drag the MIDI to a DAW track and then open it in the notation window.
After you have selected the desired chord, and it appears on the song track, left-click on the chord name that appears above the blue rectangle in the song track. This will reveal the chord selector that displays as the circle of 5ths. At the top of the circle you will see a tab in the center labeled “Detail”. Clicking on “Details” reveals the chord members of the selected chord. Here you can deselect the 3rd or any other member of the chord to achieve the “C+G ” you are looking for.
