The DTX-500 only has the 5-pin midi out socket and no usb so there wouldn’t be an update available. Might just try opening it up and taking a look at the midi socket. When I shone a light into it I could only see 3 of the metal connections in stead of 5.
no, it goes on with the first hit, stays on for a moment then goes of. When doing a buzz roll I get no sound at all. The hits are registering in the module as I can see the little meter moving. I thought it might be the cheap midi cable but I tried it with the TD-9 and it worked fine.
