    Mr. toontrack,

Please provide a reset in each section and each kit. And a master reset that will reset everything to factory default.

I Have same problem with this.

I can’t find the pop up for the output channels to check the output order.

Also can’t figure out the original name.

I agree 100,000% not to mention as I have earlier, any tempo and or signature changes within your project. If you spent the money for SD3, I hope that you bought a good daw.  Cubase is my favourite and yes it is expensive, but I get the option of having multiple takes on any kind of track. If you have a session recorded and someone doesn’t like the lead vocal or maybe the harmonizing part, all you have to do is creat a new version of the track and do a re-record. If later they change their mind, you have the original one already recorded, and all you have to do on the track is change to the version that they like and then print your stems. By default, your different versions are labelled as V1, V2, V3, etc. you can even go in and rename those V items as a date and time that the vocal was recorded.

if money was involved in the re-record, you can get every one to sign a piece of paper that they are happy with the documented versions.

    Hi
yes, of course there is they are in your settings. And yes, they can be changed however, unlike most plug-ins as SD3 loses focus when the doll is in focus and therefore your keyboard loses focus from SD3.

And yes, they can be changed however, unlike most plug-ins as D3 loses focus when the doll is in focus and therefore your keyboard loses focus from SD3.

I have a big fancy keyboard that is application, aware, and it also has macr keys that I can program. But because superior drummer, even though it is a VST3 plug-in is still behaving like a standalone app, and therefore must be in focus for the keyboard to control it.

in my daw, I have the letter R set to arm the track for recording and the keypad “ * ” to trigger recording. I went into SD3 and changed the appropriate shortcuts to those same keyboard letters, which is how I figured out that it behaves like a separate software, example the above keys respond when the daw is in focus, but do not respond in SD3.

    I have a question.

If you are Recording and bouncing and doing all that fun stuff that we’ve been talking about, how is the tempo of the track dealt with SD3.
We have a really good drummer, but his audio beats still vary. So if your average beats per minute is 87+ or -3% and you do an auto temple detection in say Cubase, how does superior drummer handle this?from what I can see in sd3,  you’ve got a choice of one temple that’s it.
This is why I only use SD3 as the audio generator.

    Hi Jack

Very interesting problem. Is the return track from VSTi or a midi return?

you are not doing a bounce right? It is live audio from your daw on the return tracks.

what do you see in the audio configuration of the VST when you enable multiple outputs  in the output section . I see outputs 1-2/3-4 etc. not the output names that we assigned in SD3

I am thinking that only in a bounce scenario is the audio being renamed.

    Hello,

    I attempted your suggestion above.

I set the mixer to multichannel mode.  This resulted in a display of 13 Out channels in the mixer window starting with Out 1/2 and ending with Out 25/26.  I renamed Out 1/2 to HT.

Then I completed the bounce.  In the Bounce folder I ended up with Out_7+8.wav, Out_11+12.wav, and Out_13+14.wav.  But, there was no Out_HT.

    Perhaps I’m doing something wrong.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

What do you have routed to Out_HT?

When you play the track (not bounce) is there any output through Out_HT?

I tried my damnedest to replicate this issue, and no matter what I turned on or off stereo mono multi channel or not couldn’t do it. I even played with 23 outputs and gave them all goofy names if no audio on the channel no, output created. I made such a mess of my own put sections. I had to remember not to save and restart using my default profile

it could be specific to Apple computers as a friend of mine had bought a new hardware mixer that supported multiple outputs, and we struggled to get the Apple OS to allow the multiple outputs.

Now, I am going to expand the question. I do a lot of custom temple work within my Daw. I also record my basic drum midi in the daw. If I take that midi track that I created and drag it into superior drummer, I do not get the custom tempo, and if I were to export audio, I have severe timing problems because the export uses the temple set in superior drummer. This is why I always have recorded the audio from the drum track with all other tracks, muted to get my audio for the drums.
Using this method would not only give me named files, but also the ability to separate the audio via output names set up in superior mixer, section, example, hats, symbols, toms, snares.
    any ideas?

    Cheers K

In my file manager high, highlight the file and press Ctrl C to copy the file name, then I export the audio file and go to the file manager and rename the file by pressing Ctrl V paying attention to the name, and back, spacing the “.mid”  out of the file name. Then I hit enter and  avewalla   ZYX.wav

    Hello,

I’m going to ask this. What mode are you running superior drummer in? Standalone? Plug-in?

Some basic information  would be nice to get help from us. after all, we are not sitting in your studio. From what I can gather, you are basically trying to create a midi file in superior drummer, and then create an audio file from that midi file.

In the user midi directory, there are two files created. “X.mid” and “X .midtrackinfo”. with the name of the midi track that you dropped  into user midi.
If you were to create several midi files, regardless of input method, and save each one of those files as the file named “. mid” format.” and then open song creator you could create a song example your custom intro, your custom first verse your second verse your chorus copy of your first verse another course, and then a different chorus and then outtake. This, of course creates the entire song.

If all you are trying to accomplish, is creating an audio file from the midi file, do that from within your daw just mute all the audio files, and record the output of the midi track. Some dogs are a little bit trickier than others to do that with and of course it depends on your hardware that you have my particular hardware has what they call a monitor which is basically a return and I can take that as an input and record whatever I’m sending out the back end of the daw

i Have been looking for weeks. THANK YOU so much.

I have an issue with SD3 in that in “stand alone” mode, adjusting the media controls on the KB OR my “Vaydeer” media controller causes the cursor to jump around in SD3.

    Again Thankyou

    Cheers Ken

    Hi John

And I thought I was Nuts

I was poking the bear a bit with my initial response, in that most folks that I know of, only run on one computer and …”MTC” means ???

:Mobile Terminated Call : MIDI Time Code : Missile Test Center…. Etc. Etc. Etc. (over 50 definitions for the acronym”MTC”)

I Agree That MTC would be an asset to your case for sure.

In My case I would like the same as I could run stand alone on my Roland 1610 and Cubase on my Moto interface.

On A different note, how do I create a new topic on this forum? Can’t find a button to click on

    Cheers

    Ken

    OK, I am curious,

If it is what I think you’re thinking of doing, I can see why. Right now I am using a programmable keypad that I bought on Amazon. It is application aware. The only problem with that is if you switch to another application, you lose control of SD3
