Well… I figured it out. Not sure if this is a bug or not. Within Ableton, you can set a track to either read from your already recorded midi track (Auto) or have it set to “IN” which allows you to ignore your previously recorded midi information. All that previous stuff is grayed out. For some reason, when I have that setting set and I’m trying to play over the track, the HH pedal goes nuts. If I delete the previously recorded midi information or move that midi information to a different midi track, everything works fine. You just can’t have previously recorded midi information feeding into the SD3 track at all… even with the track setting set to “In” which should ignore that previously recorded midi info. Note: It does ignore all the midi information for every other drum in SD3. Only the HH pedal (open/close) goes nuts. Feature or BUG?!
