One little addon: when buying this upgrade in the period before it was out I have not even THOUGHT about it cause for me it was simply obvious that this will work.

Still worth the upgrade price of course, I really dont want to maket the product bad, please dont get me wrong, its great, but still this makes me feeling of “unreal”…..

Wonder if you at least get my astonishment or if we kind of living in total different (musical) worlds…..

Ok, so to sum it up: still not possible to change main/track scale to anything apart from minor/major.

It leaves me a little speechless to be honest in 2023 with lots of years for making the update to Ezkeys 2. I dont know ANY comparable app that is NOT able to set MAIN scale simply to Dorian, mixolydian, lydian…..and then lets work the real magic of these tools in Ezkeys 2 on it……

So you can use Ezkeys 2 for anything major/minor and have to look somewhere else for anything thats not minor/major…..or get broken in your workflow (at least thats the way it works for me).

Just to be clear: Ezkeys 2 is still a great tool but…..I simply cant understand this general restriction, not in 2023…..

But thats the way it is it seems, still feels hard to believe….

Yes, that video was the CAUSE of my question:

How to get that scale (lydian) to your TRACK (or to use the scale in the chord suggestion window), there it is only possible to set minor/major scale.

Maybe I oversee something obvious but I have seen that video (and the other ones out there) at least a half a dozen times but they dont show how to set G lydian (as example) in the maintrack window so to use with the grooves, chord suggestions and so on.

And like it was already asked as start of the topic for dorin/mixolydian.

I have kind of comparable question to support.

I wonder if its still not possible to change the scale to aynthing else apart from major or minor ?

I was not aware of this and it kind of drives me mad while trying to get a chordprogression in the scale I have chosen in the songwriting scales windows or suggest a chord progression in that style…

“Smartest” comment on this would be that the workflow is totally broken…..

For me this two functions without the option to make a track in that scale is simply useless.

And with the above mentioned mixolydian and dorian, or my favourite lydian where I get stuck are not that otherwoldly moods.

So its kind of the impression for me that there are some nice looking addons but general needed work under the hood (change scale/mood to at least the most common ones) has still not be done…..
