I know this is not the newest post, and this may not help much, but I was just having the same issue and I removed some plugins that were running (such as Fabfilter compression and EQ) and that actually seemed to resolve the issue with the SD3 cursor being ahead of the audio. Mind you these plugins were not even being run on the same channels as SD3 but it still worked 🤷♂️. It might be a pain in the ass, but if you have other plugins running try to make sure that you have your settings saved and then remove the plug-in(s) and see if SD3 plays along properly with the host tempo and time signature after removing the plugins, and then re-add them. 🤞🥁🤘
