Or instead of a new feature, they could get around to fixing this one. It’s 2022 now. Still a bloated slow mess. Is this thing written in Java?

2 years later. No answers. I’ve been using EZ Drummer for years (Ableton Live, Logic) and the TRUE answer seems to be that EZD is just a freaking amazingly greedy resource hog.

SOLVED – I deleted the EZ Drummer Demo VST files. Ableton warned me that they weren’t found and then loaded the project.
