I have the solution, but it doesn’t exist yet. That is to right click on the block and Select For Recording. When the recording is finished it stops recording into the adjacent blocks.
The work around is to copy the block to an open space and record there, however, when I finish recording and the record head goes beyond the block, it increases the size of the block thinking that it’s part of the recording.
Here is a video screen shot showing exactly what’s happening. After I finish recording a looped track, the adjacent tracks merge rather than stay separate.
I used the snare’s sidestick and lowered the velocity to -127 and I find it’s still too loud for live performance unless there is a noisy crowd, but to play to listening crowds, it’s too loud.
I didn’t know about the softer instrument count ins that you have such as hi hats but I would still like tapping sticks. Having played pro in rock groups for ten years that is would I am used to.
thanks

thanks Scott. I just have one question. Why is the interface so small. It’s so tiny on my 17in Macbook Pro.
I don’t understand. Could you please provide detail instructions. I don’t know what you mean by select your EZD2 product. I’ve been going to Menu upper/right then selecting Check for Updates. There are three listed as illustrated in

Here are the sequences I followed:
