On my M1 machine – the stand-alone app still runs as 64-bit intel. When I run SD3 in Logic Pro X (as an AU) – it runs as ARM. When it is running in ARM it is amazingly fast. Toontrack did an excellent job.
All of my latency issues are gone when running as an AU. Everything is super snappy and fast. This is amazing. I have been looking at release notes everyday for 8 months waiting for this. This is truly the future of drumming.
THANK YOU TOONTRACK! I am going to now buy some more products to support this company!
Not if you are sensitive to lag. All apple computers will be ARM moving forward. I recommend not giving this company a dime until they make SD3 M1 native.

Thanked by: petersweThanks for the update! Can’t wait to get a hold of an M1 version and will definitely buy some upgrades to go along with a native version.
One thing that would help out a lot is if Toontrack would make M1 versions of their software. After spending all this money on Toontrack, they completely ignore the fact everyone is quickly migrating to ARM. I don’t think they realize all PCs will be moving to ARM, even intel machines, in the future. All Macs are now arm only.
Other companies such as Reaper FM are being proactive and allowing people to beta test ARM versions of their applications…
BTW – don’t forget to go into your audio settings and set your buffer to 64 samples. Other companies allow as little as 16 samples. For some reason, Toontrack will only allow you to go down to 64 samples.

What sample rate do you find yourself using? 32 samples? 64? I also have a Mac mini M1 with Logic Pro.
