    Hi,

    sorry for the late reply.

What I meant with clicking the sustain pedal in EZkeys is: if you first click rec+play in EZkeys, then the Sustain pedal, it will be recorded to your EZkeys Song Track. First clicking the Sustain, then rec+play would not work.

When it comes to the Korg micro controller, I think you have to check your Reaper Preferences and the properties for that controller. There should be a box you can tick for Reaper to record controller data from your Korg. I know I had to do that for my AKAI LPK25.

    BR,

    John

Thanks, John for your response. I have tried every possible setting in Reaper related to Preferences > Audio > MIDI devices and I still can’t get Reaper to record the sustain pedal. I tried clicking play + record and then clicking sustain pedal in EZkeys but it won’t record the sustain pedal. I have Reaper MIDI set for Korg device checked the checkboxes “Enable Input” & “Enable Input for Control Messages”.

The Korg Editor app is very basic so there are very few options and I have tried them all. In the app, you can set the On (tried 1 and tried 127) and OFF (0) values, set CC number (left default at 64), and Assign Type (No Assign or Control Change). You can set the MIDI channel which I have set to ‘1’ and as stated I have no problem using the Korg MIDI controller to play EZkeys in Reaper.

Any other recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Note that my screenshot shows ‘1’ as the ON value but I have al;so tried setting it to ‘127’.

John thank you for your response. Unfortunately, manually clicking the sustain pedal in Ezkeys before pressing record does not record the sustain pedal in the on position, required for playback/mixdown. I am working on a Win 10 desktop and everything about EZkeys and my new MIDI controller works except the sustain pedal (it works on my keyboard but it will not record it.

I have preferences set in Reaper for MIDI Devices where my new MIDI controller keyboard is enabled for input and output. I have checked and unchecked the “Pitch/sustain” checkbox at the bottom of the preferences window and it has makes no difference.

I am using a new Korg microKey 25 MIDI controller which has a sustain button on it. I am using the Korg Kontrol Editor app (see screenshot). I am able to open Reaper, insert EZkeys (i.e., new virtual instrument) on a new track, arm to record, and can play keyboard MIDI controller in real time and it will record MIDI to Reaper.

I have tried setting On Value to ‘1’ as well as the default ‘127’.  I don’t know how to set CC64 to ON in Reaper. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

BTW, they work fine within my DAW (Reaper), but just can’t be launched as stand alone apps.
