Maybe it’s because I have moved my track up to that part out to the MIDI editor in Studio One and muted it (as you can see in the pic). Do you think it would work if I unmuted the entire part?

Thanks, Scott.

You might be right. If you are, you would load up that EZDrummer2 Library, which is an EZX in EZD3, and use that assigned articulation for that specific EZX.
Hopefully a mod will swing in and correct us after the weekend though.
It’s OK. I figured out how to do it in 3 with Shootie’s advise above.
Thanks

There is no key.
Midi controllers might have a feature that repeats a snare hit. Nothing to do with EZ.
Older EZXs might have an articulation that hits more than once.
There is a snare roll filter on the Grooves Tab.
You build it manually in the Grid Editor or Edit Play Style.
Yes. EZD2 had some kind of articulation key but I’ll try your suggestions on my next session. Thanks

Yes, your drive will degrade in about 20 or so years from the write cycles. I wouldn’t worry about it. Even with the degradation factor built in they will still outlast mechanical drives by a long shot. I have flashcards that I use with my DSLR’s that are over 10 years old and still going strong. And that was with old technology. SSD technology has come along way, and if your data is backed up to the cloud, there shouldn’t be anything to worry about it all. As well, the price of SSD‘s are coming down and with black Friday around the corner you should be able to pick up a Crucial SSD drive and enclosure for peanuts off of Amazon. I have a bunch that I use for audio and video production, as well as storing my ToonTrack libraries.

Well that’s great to know. Some of these people (especially on YouTube) make you think that if you write more than 5 instances of data a day your SSD will wear out in a year! So, mine is already 3 year old so that cuts it down to 17 years. By then I’ll be 86 years old. Even if I’m still alive I doubt I’ll be making music this way by then.
Hey, Thanks for the info BFC!! : )
You’re doing nothing wrong. Studio One won’t let you drag MIDI into any Toontrack wares. Export the track as MIDI and drag it into EZD from the export folder. I do all of my editing in SO.
The only problem with this is my PC has an SSD and those have limited write cycles, so if I have to export the MIDI out of the program and then back into it my SDD isn’t going to last very long I fear.
Thanks for the info. I wish Presonus built the ability to move MIDI between the editor and the instruments like Cakewalk does.

Scott Sibley’s directions worked and I got my 3 MIDI expansion packs.
Thanks Scott & all

Please tell me how to pick 3 EZX bundles for $179.00. The way they give you to make you three selections doesn’t make it easy at all! I would like to pick the Session Organ, the Melotoon and the Metal Vibes. If I don’t get an answer soon I’m just going to buy something else FROM SOMEBODY ELSE!!!
I’ll also add I’ve been using your products for YEARS!

We do not have any product named “Metal Vibes”.
Sorry. I guess I meant “Melodic Percussion” Metal.
My Bad
I cannot now because I went into the MIDI and and corrected it but I will remember for the next time. I’m currently working on a project so it’s quite possible that I will encounter this again but in the simplest terms I created a chord progression using the chord blocks (starting on C) and making them each the chord I wanted. I do not set the key for the entire project (maybe that’s why this is happening). I just start with a block of C chords and make them what I want them to be. Then I wanted to copy and paste that whole block of chords exactly as they were to a spot later in the song/time grid. It copied OK but one of the chords changed by dropping 2 notes a half step. I was able to fix them simply by manually moving them to the proper position, but I used to do this all the time in EZ Keys 1 and this never happened.
Having said that, I love Toontrack and their products and would never want to anger them unduly. I’ve been a user of EZ Keys and EZ Drummer for more than 10 years now and have bought many products (instruments, expansion packs, MIDI packs, etc.) and it just doesn’t make sense to me that a registered user cannot access ALL forums. Suppose I would consider purchasing EZ Mix or EZ Bass some time in the future and just want to see some of the issues some of the current users have with those problems. What is the sense of not letting me access those forums? I ask this out of the utmost respect. Please don’t make this an issue that would make either you or me uncomfortable. I’m just curious. I also apologize for the above comment on the issues not being addressed any time soon. That was not fair of me. Please accept my apology.
Thank you.

I think it sucks of Toontrack that it won’t allow you to view or reply to a forum thread unless you own the particular product. I can’t read the above link because I don’t have EZ Bass! And I guess that also means that the bug on both programs will probably not be addressed anytime soon.

Found out how to get folder permission. Still would love to know how this stuff happens out of the blue.
Thanks

Right Click on Groove>Find>Show in Containing Folder.
I’ve noticed that “maybe” after an update, or after moving my core midi library, that it doesn’t work. On a fresh install or a system with few changes over time, should work perfect.
Tried that. I think it’s as you say, doesn’t work because of update. It does work on fresh project but I’m trying to modify to a newer groove and I need the original to get close to what I had. Never failed in 2. I did try moving the groove to “tap to find” and it comes in close but as I got the original from the very same program, it should be 100% and not 97.
Thanks Shootie. You have a great YT channel.

Its weird, you to drag the midi to the middle row in the song file area to see the chords.
So I find I have to drag both the midi file to the lower row to see the midi, and to the middle row to see the chords and the top row to name the section. Strange workflow. I think I just need to figure out want is going on.
That’s how it works. I just tried doing what you did and it works that way. I guess when I first tried I was only placing it in the lower part of the track and MIDI just showed up. If you place it in the center of the track it all three variables show up. I think it’s a great idea. Very useful. Thanks Toontrack!
