I’m not sure exactly what you mean by multi-client since I can usually run any combination of sound producing apps through the Digi002 at once. Drumtracker is the only app I’ve used that only works with the Digi002 if it is the first client launched.

    Just as an example,

That’s where I launched a YouTube video and then Logic, both playing audio as reflected in the “Attached Clients” dialog. I think I remember the 002 being non-multi client if you’re running Pro Tools LE, but I’m not using that.

But to answer your question, no, the files I tried using with Drumtracker were exported from Logic and play back fine in Logic, and they work fine in Drumtracker if I use MOTU interface or the on-board sound instead of the Digi002.

    Cheers.

Only Drumtracker seems to be affected. I loaded up a wav file in Drumtracker, it played at 3x/4x speed, then I played it with the built-in OSX preview (click the file and hit spacebar) while Drumtracker was still open, and it played back fine. I also played back audio in Firefox while Drumtracker was open and that worked fine too.

Also, I noticed that Drumtracker can’t connect to the Digi CoreAudio Manager unless it is the first client to launch it. For example, if Logic is open and using the Digi002, when I try to open a file with Drumtracker, I get this error:

I haven’t experienced that problem with any other audio apps that I’ve tried.

And Digi CoreAudio is not using an external clock source.

Hope this helps diagnose the problem, cheers.
