My no-sound issue has been solved by changing the “Audio Device” to “Primary Sound Card” in the
Audio Menu in EZ Drummer window.
This seems strange to me b/c I am using an Echo Audio Indigo sound card, I am almost certain I had it set to the “ASIO Echo PCI” Selection prior to my un-install and re-install of EZD.
Thank-you John Rammelt.
I have un-installed and re-installed EZdrummer, and ran the EZdrummer Update.exe update. Now the plug-in loads, and is EZD is accessible in my PT session, however, there are no sounds.
I opened Toontrack Solo and experimented by clicking on the drumkit and selecting grooves, however, I am unable to get audio out from Toontrack Solo as well.
Searched thru the forums but didn’t see anything quite pertaining to this situation.
I’m using an Echo audio sound card. (this set-up worked prior to my dreaded but necessary update to PT LE 8).
The audio selection from EZD is ASIO Echo PCI.
Is a complete un-install of EZD and Toontrack solo required?
Are there some other options I could try?
thanks,
Janos
Thanks for the guidance. I’ve been able to create new projects and install EZdrummer as a plug-in on a stereo instrument track, and switch to ‘Multichannel’ at the bottom of the faders in the EZdrummer mixer per some advice from forum.
I’ve been able to drag and drop grooves into PT LE and also notice the tempo of the groove changes as I change PT tempo map setting. Good progress.
Now however, it is not clear to me how to edit my own measures, or in which environment would it be done. drawing tick marks with ‘pencil’ on the Piano Roll in PT is not very time efficient.
There must be a reasonably intuitive way to program and save my own measures like one might do working on a drum machine.
What are the options for editing custom drum measures (or grooves)?
