That doesn’t sound like a SD3 problem. SD3 only reacts to the velocities it gets from the module. Are you sure you have your triggering set up correctly as I don’t have the same problem with my TD30. The first thing I do with a module is set it’s sensativity for my playing style. Velocity curves can help but you need to make sure your module is outputting the right velocity levels
Hi. I don’t have the issue with SD2 library. I’m using SD2 since 2009 and know the produce. It seems like that that I’ll have to work inside SD3 more than I thought
Hi John
No. It’s not down to preferences. It’s unplayable. Look at any video about SD3 and it sound big. When I use it well it’s far to be as good. My preference as you called it would be to have a kick add sound as advertised.
If I lower the room and FX it sound weak
I don’t think I do especially that I have a great sound with RW. How can i check this? would it be affected library to library?
Hi john
I’m using a Roland TD9 module on a hybrid edrums, all settings are made to suit my playing but i also tried with the factory settings (reset it but it’s the same). I’m using MIDI to a Focusrite 18I8 2nd generation to my laptop using Window 10 i5 7th generation quad core.
I’m using a preamp and speakers for audio when listening my recordings but mostly use headphone when playing. I use The Rock warehouse, MM,MF and the the core library of SD2 and SD3 + lots of EZdrummer library. I love and get great sound with the Rock Warehouse but if I upload a preset of any Library the sound become weak and as previously said the effect become predominant
bump?
I have SD2 and Metal foundry on the way so it could be cool if I can get some opinion before it’s here and I start to set up my MIDI.
Cheers
