Thanks John,
I saw that in Brad’s explanations. And I said that I felt stupid because the function is really visible. But, when I searched before asking, I had not understood that I could select an articulation to change its own properties.
Many thanks, Brad Holland, for these very good explanations. Sure I feel a little stupid as I didn’t see the “level” function for the articulation “sidestick”. But the “Add instrument” solution is very powerful as it allows to use special treatment in the DAW if multichannel is used. Thanks again.
Today I add a post because I found something very funny.
I bought SD3, as someone here told me that it was the solution to easily have separate output volumes for snare and sidestick. SD3 is very good, I like the sound but, as EZD2 it doesn’t allow to send side stick and snare in different channels, or to have a level control to get a stronger level for the sidestick without changing the level of the snare.
Perhaps I missed something, so if you can tell me how I can do this in SD3… 🙂
Thanks for the answer.
But I saw that in the FAQ, after posting. And I didn’t find any way to delete my boring question. 🙂
I think it’s not possible. I loaded EZDrummer on a GB’s track and saw there’s no choice, like in Logic, to load it as a stereo or a multichannel instrument. Only stereo is available.
A walkthrough could be using several tracks each with EZDrummer and have only specific instruments on each track.

Thanked by: stylus1274What you do in the mixer has to be done. OK
After I work with Logic Pro (not with Ableton) and if EZD is loaded in Logic as multichannel (Logic gives the choice) it displays a “+” to create a group of tracks for busses to support the instruments of the drum kit. Each time you click on the “+” you add a track which automatically receive the audio defined in the EZD Mixer.
In Ableton I saw that I only load EZD without saying if I want it in stereo or multichannel. After the output tracks are chosen in the mixer of EZD, you have to create several audio tracks anew, for them, define EZDrummer for “Audio From” and “Monitor” to “IN”. You can group them. But it seems that you have to do this work.
make a second track!
I know that I can do that, I spoke about this workaround in my first message.
And if I asked if it’s possible to edit separately the volume of Center, Rimshot and Sidekick it’s because it’s possible in RealiDrums, an instrument for Kontakt which I can’t compare in quality with EZDrummer but which has this possibility.
So, before using workarounds or upgrade to SD3, I thought that asking in the forum had sense.
But the volume is low even with max velocity. I guess it’s the sample’s volume.
Thanks for your answer, I’ll think about buy SD3. But I’m surprised if EZDrummer doesn’t offer this kind of editing.
