See response from toontrack, I had success by going into add/remove programs in windows 10, uninstalled ezdrummer2 update and ezdrummer2, I then went into Product Manager, downloaded and installed 2.1.8 and the sound and midi updates from a long time ago, nothing else. It works great did not delete any prior user kits or presets I had made before the 2.2 update.

Hi John,
Thanks for your email and sorry for the delay. This is a new bug that was discovered in EZdrummer 2.2.0.
In this instance we recommend going back to EZdrummer 2.1.8.
To enable installing version 2.1.8, open Terminal in Applications > Utilities and copy/paste the following line to the Terminal window:
echo au vst aax app ezdline | xargs -I {} -n1 sudo pkgutil –forget “com.toontrack.ezdrummer.{}.pkg”
Then press Return. You’ll be prompted for a password, so then type your computer/admin password and press Return again. Note that the password characters that you type will be invisible.
Then you can open Toontrack Product Manager, click “Show Details” for EZdrummer 2. Download the software update version 2.1.8, then select “Install” from the menu to the right of it. It is important that after the download completes, you use the small menu to the right of the download and select “Install” from this menu.
It does save that way and that is better than not at all, but as you know it also saves the mixer settings. I only use ezdrummer to trigger roland vdrums and often times when I create a kit I like to run it through several presets to get as close to the sound im looking for and then adjust minimally. Also sometimes I come up with some pretty good stuff by accident lol. Thank you! I appreciate your help a lot!!
This photo is after I went back to it. The cymbals are present because they are from the rock solid ezx that I’m in. The snare, toms and kick were all from indie folk & Classic rock, and no longer there. Thanks for any help!!
Correct on everything except I save them as a user kit, not a preset. It worked flawlessly until recently. Thanks!
I realize you cant create an ezx in say indie folk and access it in say classic rock. That’s not the issue, until recently I could create a user kit with drums from any ezx, save it and go back to it at any time and all drums were present exactly as I saved them. Since the most recent update it will not save drums, or cymbals for that matter from a different ezx than the one you are saving it in. It saves the file but when i go back to it, any drum that isnt from that particular ezx is just blank. I also downloaded and installed ezdrummer and all my ezxs to my deskktop just to see if i had an error or corrupt file on my laptop. It is the same so I know the issue isnt on my end. I hope it isn’t something toontrack has purposely taken away from me, if that’s the case ill be done with ezdrummer. Thanks for your suggestion though!
