Why does it seem like we are all growing older and more mature, but EZkeys has never aged (Still version 1.2.5)!  Come on guys lets grow up.  Certainly I am not the only one who has ideas for how this program can mature along with us.

Does anyone else have the same problem I wonder? I right click on a chord block in the work area, choose Show in Browser and nothing happens. If I’m lucky sometimes an Explorer window may open but then it only shows me my saved favourite blocks. At the moment I’m having to memorise where things are from, which is irritating when you know that function is available.

All is working fine at this end.  I right click on a chord block in the work area, choose Show in Browser and it takes me to the Browser screen to the selected segment.  Do you have the most recent updates?

I just got Americana Midi Pack and a simple F C Gm C chord progression sounds very bad. Flat notes and completely off chords. Any suggestions?

Anyone one else? This is holding up my purchase.

A year and a half later, I’m still here and using and buying new midi packs. But alas no updates to the core program. A bit disappointing, but I am still a big fan.

Using the latest EZkeys in stand-alone mode, I enter a few chords, change the time signature (to 5/4) and Save the project. But the next time I start EZkeys and Open my saved project, the time signature reverts to the default (4/4).

Is there a way to have a saved project remember its time signature? Or am I doing something wrong.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Sorry, that is apparently just how it works. We all have to remember that EZKeys2 has never been released. Some many opportunities missed.

If I want to “ditch” (delete) the MIDI but RETAIN the chords, what can I do?
Or is there a way to create a chord sequence in a “text editor” and import that into EZKeys?

No text editor entry that I know of, but just “delete” the midi and the chords will remain for you to add any midi from the libraries.

Had this very same thread 6 months ago… I suspect nothing is different.

I don’t believe there is nor is there any phone number that I was ever able to find. Turns out their corporate headquarters is right in my town (well it is a big city). I once got the address and was going to walk in the front door, but I figured out the problem. They do occasionally visit here.

That is exactly what I did. I bought a 6-pak from Sweetwater (I think it was $99 USD). It came as via US mail in a small box with 6 codes in it. Work great for me.

    WHERE IS THE .dll?

Do you know what you are doing? I run EZKeys in Reaper. I have many of the EZkeys addons including the Mello. But I only add one EZKeys.dll into my DAW – specifically for the main EZKeys app, not the individual addons. Your DAW only knows EZKeys it does not care about the individual addons. I don’t think that is the way it works. At least not for me.

Holy Cow, this is still not fixed after all these months! Come on guys, you are driving me crazy. (By the way, the new Manager looks to be working nicely). So now lets get the key signature working.

I just bought and installed a 6 pak, Seems to me I could pick from any and all available. Paid 99 USD it was a good buy.

I think this is on the wish list for EZKeys 2. Otherwise, you have to do it in your DAW with separate tracks. Unless someone can tell us both something else.

Please give feedback on what you’d like to see in EZkeys2.

Hello Scott, thanks for asking. I will answer your question hoping you answer mine.

I am a bit new to EZKeys – big BIAB guy for years for song writing but found so nice midi sound track and flexibility in EZKeys in the past month or two. I have a longer track record with EZDrummer. And when EZDrummer 2 came along I was as impressed as the rest of the industry with the progression and advancement.

So back to EZKeys. I felt right away EZKeys was like a Version 1.0 release. Then I noticed my current version was 1.2.3 which confirmed my feeling. There is just a lack of development maturity to this program. Not a bad thing but certainly something that I would love to see advance. Is advancement in the works?

Here are a few off the top of my head suggestions for EZKeys 2 – although I am confident you folks know a lot more then me in this area.
    Primarily workflow enhancement features:
    1) For example, I have the Strings and Keys Midi pack which provides dual midi track. But the standalone version can only handle one “track”. So I suspect it all has to be handled in the plug-in in the DAW (Reaper by the way).
    2) Key and tempo adjustments to different sections – again I don’t see an easy workflow for this except in the DAW.
    3) Working in the standalone version and in the plug in at the same time is very clunky with only one “use this directory” option.
    4) How about build a song? like you have it in EZDrummer2?
    5) And how about a “power hand” analogous to EZDrummer2 which controlled the complexity and velocity of the midi?
    6) Push chords ahead/behind the beat by a 1/8
    7) Oh and by the way – where are all the endings for the different MIDI packs. I have a 6-pack and they seem to be missing a bunch.

Would love to see other users add to the list.
