Thank you John! I installed EZplayer Pro and it asked for the location of midi during install as option. Once I directed it to my new drive location, installed SD3 and all the midi and EZdrummer kits loaded up and worked perfectly. A bit of a long road, but happy to have made the journey.
I would suggest the option to direct to new location within SD3 just like you can do with the SDX libraries as an update.
Thanks again and hopefully this will help someone else in the future.
OK, I uninstalled EZ player Pro, S2 was already uninstalled. I have NO midi player Toontracks installed. Never had EZdrummer. None show installed in product manager. I have rebooted computer. Install S3 and am given NO option for “EZHOME” location. Only asks where to put VST for program. Getting a wee bit frustrated.
Here is a pic of the library manager after fresh install. All libraries for SDX show up fine. Going to grooves tab I get the midi error message attached in pic. Also attached is library showing No option and still insisting the midi library location is bla bla programs(x86) / toontrack etc
Your help is appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you Henrik. I’ve downloaded uninstalled/installed the SD3 prorgram (290 MB) only. During install I am only given option of where to install the VST. No option for the EZdrummer library content. When I run SD3 after new install it does not show my EZ libraries in drop down and again, there is no option to select path in the program. If I have the EZdrummer folder in the expected location listed below, it works fine.
I literally have the same issue now as my original post. Uninstall/install does not give new option for locating EZ library. It’s like SD3 forces you to use the location on PC of C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesToontrackEZDrummer. I want to change to another drive. Where in the process is there an option?
Thank you.
Thanks for your quick reply Scott E. The first link does not work as it is for EZ drummer and gives the same issue I currently have with S3.
The second link seems to be a solution. Uninstall S3 and reinstall, then direct to the new folder for EZ files during install.
Here is my question, how to reinstall S3 without a minimum of 40 gig download for basic sounds? I don’t want the sound files, just the S3 program to reinstall.
I see no option in the Toontrack manager for just the S3 program. All libraries are 40 gig + options.
Thanks for your help.
Yes, I use Superior 2, not EZdrummer. Does this mean I can’t use the upgrade? What am I missing with the upgrade not installed? Very impressed with your level of service. That and your great products will keep me coming back! Thanks very much!
