I totally believe that the upgrade (SD3) is a great deal, my only problem is I do not have the $200 nor will I possibly have it by Jan 1 2019, unless I cancel christmas for everyone in the family or some anyway.

the kids that is, how would that look sorry no christmas presents or few of them because Scrooge mc me wanted to get Superior drummer 3.

Really sucks that first I had Cakewalk go Poof leaving me with a SONAR X3 with no more support etc, at that time when I found out only had like a month to switch to some other DAW but could not.

    Now this

I love toontrack stuff have since the first dfh Custom and Vintage.

Again I think the price is Ridiculously low but being Disabled on a very crappy limited income now $200 is a lot bigger chunk of $$ then it used to be.

hell I used to probably blow $200 just going out on a weekend.

Oh wow, I seen someone posted this Upgrade was mentioned 8 months ago?? I wonder why I just heard about it only last month (October)?

Wow, a few years back I had to re-Authorize 2 separate times one when the only thing I did was add a Second HD, and when I upgraded from my Digitech GNX4 to the Digitech RP1000.

Seemed if I added or removed any programs it would for some reason change some setting making me have to go through teh authorization  process again.

Did you guys do something to change this so as to not be such a Pain in the A??

Don’t feel bad, I am the same way, I bought (originally) Cakewalk Home Studio 7 and of course when SONAR X1 was treleased at a Huge Discount since i just Purchased HS7 I had to jump on that Wagon, then of course I had to Get all “Tooned” up EZDrummer, EZX DFH, S2.0 EZPlayer Pro, etc.etc. I still cannot do much more then record my guitar, and create some Semi-EEEh Drum tracks. Heck I have enough $$ slapped down I should be creating muisc like a Wild Crazy man.
Now had I been able to have this stuff oh errr like 1991 be a different story I would be touring right now I am sure, but for some reason when I doubled that age I was really musically something seems I lost it.
Sad too as I would of Gave my Left ya know whatski to have the ability I have today, it also helped I had 2 musical friends jammin with me 2-4 nights a week if they didn’t live so far away and have other things going on then maybe we could be doing something.
me by myslef though I am just not that good musically, I was great at taking Lyrics ( already written as I cannot write lyrics to save my Neck) and then taking some random Riffs here and there tehy were playing and Pow abracapocus hocuscadabra we hada song.

you like that? ya they have that a little of of the Album “There Will Be Violence” but the new Album “Baptized In Filth” they have it alot more and always in the perfect spots, LMAO ya know whats funny or sad actually when I first got the album in March of this year I was just Tweeting and Posting like crazy about the Sub Boom rattle your eyes out your noggin if ya have teh volume up enough ( I can pretty much rattle the darn nails out of my walls and can make it snow by vibrating the Popcorn ceeiling stuff off of my ceiling) and about 75% of the people had no Idea what I was talking about, I even broke down teh songs by Time and people were still befuddled until I listened to it through my SONY Digital Cinema Sound System and realized it was not reproducing a great deal of what makes alot of these songs just Kick Aresees. then I had to explain what I was talking about.
I have a older component system in Garage and the Booms sound actually kinda weird to be kind (they actually sound quite sick and Nasty and not in a good way either)
I will look up the email I recieved from Impending Doom when I was asking them about the Drums and the awesome Production along with that specific Trigger and get teh exact name again but I am almost sure he said it was a Modified 808 Setup as a Trigger on one of the Drums, I imagine a floor tom or so must have that on the Side or whever you position a Trigger.
I personally am not a drummer a Singer ya a Guitarsist working on it but drummer no chance in LLEH. Although I have great Ideas that is why I bought EZDrummer first then S2.0, TMF, LOTE I,II,III, Metal Machine Midi, and have since rounded up about 355,472 Midi Drum Files but yet to find that one Specific Shot.
Also trying to find some real good Quick Double bass Kicks like LOG Does or Trivium, AS I Lay Dying, All That Remains etc. If you happen upon some midi or have built some yourself with a Good 3,5,8 Kick then back to normal and that specific Brrrb, or Brrrrrrb Sound Let me know PLEASE.
BTW the Band I was talking about is Impending Doom, I can Hook ya up with some of the cool Boom sounds if you want to try to figure it out you can IM me or Email me at

If you are looking for the Sonic BOOM Sound That Impending Doom has on their newest album if you find it let me know I have been wanting to recreate it, I talked to the band and they use a Trigger with a Modified 808 to get that sound but with my System I have at home it just Kicks .
Using Peavey CS Amps and Super High end Subs, mids, hi’s with 600 watts to each 15″ Sub it is amazing not as good as when I had 800 watts to each but still alot better then any other stereo system I have ever owned in my entire life.
it appears to me as if the Boom is around 40-80Hz but not positive just been playing with Some adjustments trying to figure it out.

Although other then my One Laptop Being D.O.A. I havent had a single issue with my ASUS

No I totally Understand I was quite Confused and frustrated with almost everything when I first started playing Guitar again from understanding what were economy models to premium one, and then on to programs when I quit playing all recording stuff was analog there were no compuers, Internet, Drum programs( just Drum machines) so It has been a learning process for me too, I will try to make my explainations as I would of wanted back when I first started, BTW what DAW are you useing I did not catch that,
I can only give you exact locations according to what I am using which was SONAR HS7 Before I upgraded to SONAR X1 Essential which unfortunately is only 32 bit but I did try the 64 bit as I had mentioned so I will do what I can to help.

oh ya as far as your path when I used teh 64 bit upgrade I do not remember changing the default path as I believe it will mess up teh future upgrades and all that is really 64 bit that I found was teh .dll as I had my 32 bit one loaded as well as my DAW is 32 bit but I wanted to see if there was any difference in quality when using Toontrack solo 32bit and 64 bit so I had both installed but only remember ezdrummer itself loaded in programs files (86)

you have to change the VST path to look for the 64 bit .dll which on my laptop when I was testing it was loacated under Program files/Cakewalk/VSTplugins/64bit.
Once you get the correct path set it shoudl work fine.

You actually can’t point tat anything with My MidiFiles, My Midifiles is actually a Folder at the bottom of the Midi Library depending on what you have installed in my case I started with EZdrummer and then decided to gof full on and got S2.0 The Metal Foundry, SDX Presets and about 300,000 Midi files so on mine under Ezdrummer there is a filder called Midi and it there is all the EZD,SDX Midi Files The Add On Packs and my Personal File structure as I would not be very effective at building anything if all my files were stuffed in one folder like that. But I would not suggest it as it took me 6 hours to fix what I messed up and then reset it correctly.

Cool, Just so I know I am not missing a sign that there is a issue it could be Plum Crazy with a hint of Sublime Green for all I care, Ya i forgot that Superior, S2.0 is not actually Installed per say like Itunes or SONAR X1 so it would be totally useless to have anything in Programs and Features.
It wrks awesome now that I fixed my Preset (Lost in AHHHH) and figured out how that is structured

Cool Thanks, I am looking for some drum stuff like Impending Dooms album “Thre Will Be Violence” In case you happen to know who they are? I think I may just have to get this kit just due to the fact You mentioned and I seen it listed as having a Insane amount of files, I do not think i could ever have to Many unless I was getting alot of dupicates.
This is a little off Direct Question but has anyone ever takes a MIDI and Pulled specific Pieces out and saved them as new MIDI Files for future use?
I was thinking I could take the Kick out of a few files save it as a New File then I could actually modify it to a specific feel I want and Resave and then I would have exactly what I am looking for.
I am still a bit new to this but I thought I read where this is posible and actually did not sound that complicated.
