That’s a good should Digital – but will have to wait until I’ve worked through the Legends of Rock SDX which is going to finish downloading tonight

As Scott said if you highlight the Song Key as Original (just below the Grooves tab) then you’ll see that these are originally in F#m.

As EZBass is already transposing that to C#m it shouldn’t be too hard to then flip to to E major if that is your chosen key so this could be added in a future update hopefully.

Having said that Billy, it’s not too hard to just select all the chords in the song track and change them back to the major key you’re in.

New one out today has brushes with swirls

But is that in the EZX when it comes out? SDX is expensive to buy and a real disk hog just for one articulation like that – as good as the SDX sounds (I’m downloading it as I type) not sure it’s best use is in such a limited manner.

How does the Rock Foundry compare to D&D guys?

I’m just checking out Mike Luke’s review to get a feel for it but already itching to get my credit card out!

Have a feeling this will be the perfect kit to complement D&D – that for the Metal / Prog sessions and Kramer’s for the Blue’s rock – this is just perfect.

Thanks ondipayn – sounds like everyone thinks that D&D is the starting point for new users. I’ve been waiting to see what Eddie Kramer’s set comes out like but in the meantime I’ve been reviewing a lot of the You Tube videos about D&D and they all just say the same thing.

From my own experience of bands that would call themselves part of the Post Rock genre, the drum sounds are simply rock acoustic drums, the problem is that there is such an ethereal pad of noise in that range of most music in this space that the drums are often lost in the mix. Lots of cymbal swells and more brush work on the snare would get you close to many post rock rhythm sections

Hey Luke when I plugged this into SD3 the EZX Custom Shop and EZX Jazz expansion MIDI had quite a few Swirl Grooves  – did you audition those yet?

Hey Luke can you explain a bit further what you mean by Audio vs MIDI – since you’re bringing the audio into the EZBass tracker to generate the MIDI isn’t this just a bass or guitar track you already have in your DAW?

Hi Billy – if you use the drop down menu and say Export to Current Song Track or Add Midi Selection on Song Track all you will get is the MIDI added – if you actually click and drag from the window where it says Left Hand or Rhythm and Chords this will pull in the chord changes from your EZKeys session as well. It doesn’t recognise sections per se but does follow the MIDI from EZKeys so if you Verse and Chorus sections are very different piano parts the bass will follow them

Jord go back and read the OP and then tell me that SD3 and a Yamaha Stage custom birch into a AKG Pro Audio D12VR into Neve console are the same thing….
