OMG, I’m not the only one annoyed by this. I’m glad to here it’s actually a bug and a fix is coming.
I just switched from Windows to Mac and this is not a problem on the Windows version. I was doing it side by side last night in agony like, “WTFFFFF?!”
I did find a workaround using the pencil tool though. You can draw across only the velocities you want to change but this is obviously annoying and shouldn’t be necessary. Also hard to have pinpoint accuracy with this method.
YOU’RE RIGHT!!! It is fixed! I had updated recently but had not actually checked for that fix because I did not expect a fix. So in a new session we are good.
However, I have a new problem. I have a session that was started in 3.1.1 and now in 3.1.7 I just get an error message saying I need to reinstall because of different resources. I’m afraid of losing my drum setup and midi that was saved in the plugin if I do that. Why does it work in new sessions? Why can’t I convert it somehow?
I have this same problem. Really kills my workflow.
I’ve resorted to exporting MIDI and then importing into an ableton track. It completely kills all the usefulness that is built into SD3.
Running on windows 10. Ableton 9 standard.
