Is it absolutely necessary that the installation location and download location are separate folders?

Yes yes and yes.

I am using Product Manager, and yes I changed the download location to a folder within my external drive.

All the libraries were there, it still wouldn’t detect them even after diverting the library path there.

And then after launching it a couple of times it deleted the entire contents of that folder.

I haven’t modified anything at all I’ve just followed the download instructions from the product manager and this has happened.

The drive is brand new.

I just went to check and it deleted the entire core sound library that took me hours to download wtf??

Somebody please give me a clear answer on this
