Tried on a different set up and it’s still there, always in the high range, doesn’t occur on the electrics, just the Grand and Upright. Thanks for the suggestions guys but nobody else is replying so I guess I’m stuck with it.

I’d be reluctant to put it out on anything until I can isolate it. I’ll scour around for uploaded tunes using the same patches to compare, maybe see if I can find the frequency in some wav / audio editing suite (don’t actually own one as of yet unfortunately).

If anyone else experiences anything like this please reply.

How ’bout resetting the Dynamics and Velocity control (under Dynamics)?

Yeah I’ve tweaked it and although it can reduce it I can still hear it and I end up far away from where I want to be sound wise.

Setting the Grand to ‘On Stage’ actually enhances the problem.

Thanks for taking the time to try. If possible could you try it with the Upright too, it seems to be more apparent on that one to me with it being a slightly harsher sound although I can hear it on the Grand all the same, but it’s like I’m looking for it now – once you hear it it’s hard to ignore it because subconsciously it’s like I’m waiting for it.

When I say there’s a constant high pitched noise, I suppose what I mean is consistent – it’s not a constant ringing out like a drone, but rather it consistently accompanies the chord being played, particularly when played with force in the key of C and even more so for higher notes. I don’t know if it’s a combination of notes resonating that the mics have picked up or whether I’ve just got super sensitive hearing (it’s not tinnitus before anyone suggests that!) but I’m definitely picking it up.

Just out of curiosity what db do you have your volume set at on the volume wheel?
