Just to give you all a visual – these screenshots are taken from a project that was sent to me by a bandmate whose drums were programmed with EZDrummer.

In the first screenshot I’ve selected the drums track, and as you can see in the plug-ins list EZDrummer is selected from when my bandmate was working on the project on his computer – but since garage band isn’t recognizing that I have the plug-in its sort of blocked off/unhighlighted.

In screenshot #2 I’ve expanded my entire list of plug ins, with the audio units tab selected, & as you can see – no mention of EZDrummer or Toontrack.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Jord –

I’ve done as you suggested & cleared my AU cache then reinstalling & making sure AU was selected. I then rescanned garage band for plugins, but I’m still facing the same issue.

    Thx

    I’ve gone into Library>Audio>Plug-ins>Components & EZDrummer3.component is right there.

If this isn’t what you’re referring to, though, let me know.
