I’ve encountered something similar and noticed  that the problem was simply the sensivity of the rimshot in my TD-50 drum module. When the sensitivity of the rimshot is set too high the snare and rimshot would play simultaneously. Not sure if this solution works for you.

Please the following topic on how you can modify sensitivity of any sound in SD3:

You can replace any sound on any trigger. For your multi-zone snaredrum you can add a rimshot sample to your rim trigger and modify velocity on that particular midi channel.

This way I changed the bell sound on my ride and modified its velocity curves and increased the level of the food-switch on my hi-hat.

Btw, Mike Luke’s YouTube channel covers some excellent videos about how to get perfect triggering Hi-hats and multi-zone triggers explained in Superior Drummer 3. If you don’t know his channel, you should really check it out.

Doesn’t sound familiar to me. I’m using the VH-13 Hi-hats though.

But I guess that could be easily fixed by choosing the TD-50 midi mapping preset first and change midi trigger options for your specific trigger intrument(s) afterwards.

This is something I’m struggling with as well.

But I made a new kit for SD3 on my TD-50 and cracked up sensitivity on al my pads, including kick, toms, snare Ride and symbals. Which more or less did it for me.

But I’m still open to try a better solution.
