thanks for taking the time to answer and help. I downloaded ASIO, later finding the culprit the whole time was a faulty USB cable. All working as it should now. kind regards, Graeme from Australia
Thanks John. Yes have all the MIDI/Audio boxes ticked to the Akai (so the computer is recognising it I assume). I’ll try a few other things, and make sure all the kind advice submitted here is implemented and get back to you. Thanks for replying, appreciated.
Henrik; being a bit techno illiterate, can I go back to first principles?……does my computer need some sort of MIDI in port? I’m just connecting the AKAI by USB…..do I also have to have some MIDI in gizmo to connect it to the computer? I’ll bet I need some other stupid gizmo!??, anything to do with computers is so cumbersome and convoluted! Give me my nice and simple Roland VS 2480!!!!! cheers, Graeme
