I had this problem too. Would play my e-drums and record my data,

then moved back to the computer to edit and mix, but SD3 would see the open hat from my plugged in kit without my foot on the hihat pedal. I use a fader on my keyboard controller, mapped to midi cc 4(foot control), and send it the closed value by sliding it up. That way SD3 would think that the pedal just sent a “closed” message.
    my workaround. Good luck.

Make sure you’re not sending the software instrument midi controller 11 (expression)

that is used by some vsti’s as a “plugin” volume, as opposed to midi cc7 which is fader volume.

no problems on my rig, if I turn it up too loud it’ll rip my head off.

I can hit the clip levels on my interface of some hard hits (note velocity 127)

keep in mind too that if you play something from YouTube or Spotify or whatever, you’re listening to a mastered track. You’ll need to add compressors and limiters to get your track to their mastered level. I usually bring down streaming services -5 to -10db to give me some headroom, when playing/rehearsing along with my plugins.

    good luck.

    Hi there,

I use my TD 11 with Superior Drummer 3 using the USB into my computer. Works great. I have no lag or latency, but that is CPU dependant, not Trigger Module dependant.

There is a TD11 eDrum setting in SD3, I used to use it, but I have added a tom and the way the template is it put my high tom in a weird note up the keyboard, so it made it hard to edit and see in my PianoRoll view (Logic Pro).

Again, it works and its a lot of fun. Good luck.

    This is good info,

I have an awesome collection of Paiste Cymbals (and a killer DW kit) in my studio that I’d love to integrate with SD3’s sounds, but wasn’t sure I could add the different velocity samples to the kit. Is there a way for me to create an expansion pack for myself? I see a bunch of packs for sale on the site, but if I’d like to make my own, is it possible?

    Thank you for your time.

    Gio
