The superior library is on an internal SSD drive currently and I’ll make it an internal drive on the new computer. SO it seems all I need to do is point to the library drive, which I’ll name HD B just like the current one
Thanks John that’s the only way I could figure out to do it also. I guess there’s no easier way. Thanks for all your help
OK,
are you selecting a preset first (if so, which one?) or building your own kit and mixer?
Which Velocity range are we talking about?
You can always open the Hit Variation Property Box for the Toms and experiment with turning off ‘Use Adjacent Layers’, etc.
BR,
John
I did some more testing and I tried unchecking the 4 different options under hit variations and even turned of hit variation. I then recorded the tom just doing 1/8 note hits increasing in velocity and found that somewhere between 102 and 105 it switches over to another sample zone. All hits from 60-102 are normal volume and from 105 to 1127 it’s pretty loud. It happens this way every time, no variations.
So from this I don’t think it is alternating samples but a problem with the multi sample switch. If I could reduce the volume of that sample zone above 104 then I think it would balance out. Is that possible? Sounds like an interesting experiment
I guess another alternative is to use a different brush tom. I’m using Nashville 12″ PB Brush
Hi,
first please make sure you are fully updated both for the SD3 plugin and the Library.
BR,
John
After I posted I did update both and I just checked and see that it still has the same behavior.
In the Mixer view to the far left are 3 BD faders with a blue border. Then moving to the right I see a Kick fader (out 1/2) and a Comp fader (Out 7/8) both with gold border. Then to the right I see Out 1/2 and out 7/8 with a red border. If I play the BD only I can see all of the channels I listed with BD activity.
If I mute any of these the BD bleed goes away: Comp 7/8 or Out 7/8. I think the bleed is coming from Comp 7/8. yet when I select Comp 7/8 and look to the right and click Properties, a box opens and says “bleed from instruments”. Nothing is listed in that box. I must be doing something wrong, because i would expect to see the bleed right there.
I have Out 1/2 routed to my external mixer on channel 12+13. This is for the full BD sound (and snare). Out 7/8 is routed to my mixer also as channels 14+15. Right now I have 12+13 muted, so all I’m getting is 14+15 which are out 7/8 in the S3 mixer.
I also selected each of the other blue border channels and none of them have the blue “on” button turned on for the BD.
Any clues where the bleed is coming from?
It would help to know which Preset you are using but I suspect it’s not bleed but a Send from one of the BD faders.
BR,
John
Bob Rock Kit 1 is the preset I started with and I modified it to be my own template. I didn’t do anything fancy or complicated, so I feel like you’ll be able to tell what it is by checking out that preset. let me know if You’d like me to send mine. I use a few things from Nashville EZX

Thanks John, so S3 is fine whether those files are there or not? And I don’t need to make any other changes, just simply move files away and move them back if I want to?
I figured it out. When we imported the BRK1 BD using the parts presets, even though we checked the channel box, it doesn’t import the mixer settings for chan 1,2,+3, which are the Kick In, Kick, out and Kick sub. I went ahead and saved each one of those channels as Channel Effects User Presets. once I imported those in, I got it to sound exactly like BRK1 BD, without messing with any bleed or Front Height or Rear height mic busses
