Sonar X3 but I just found out it was because I had “share drivers with other programs” checked.
I unchecked and it works as expected.
    Thanks very much,
    Randy

Thanks, I edited my initial post after discovering it works fine in stand alone…I’ll try to find out why it does it in my host.
    Thanks again,
    Randy

So I guess this means it’s not possible?

Example- Addictive Drums patterns have similar names but I can decipher them enough to navigate to them in the GUI…is this possible in EZKeys….or is it not that ez? Frown

Another thread I forgot to subscribe to…which brings up a question…is there a way to subscribe automatically (default) to threads I post to (to where I get an email response)
    Thanks for your answer John!

Sorry, I missed your follow-up question there. The real-time display does not show the chords on the timeline, no, they are displayed on the timeline.

And it would be rather redundant if they did show…I guess I was just thinking that the prior version did.
    Thanks again John,
    Randy

My bad John, I was thinking the older version showed it in the same octave or the inversion but I guess you’re right sir.
So is it my imagination too that the real time GUI isn’t expected to show chords played from the timeline player (sorry I haven’t had a lot of time with it yet and just want to make sure the update is performing as well as the older version).
    Much thanks,
    Randy

    Hi Randy,

    versions look OK.
The Chord is a ‘C’ to me. The notes ‘C’ and ‘E’ with a ‘G’ is just that.

If EZkeys is not responding with sound or displaying chord analysis in Sonar, you need to check the MIDI routing to the track holding the plugin.

CEG in that order is indeed a C chord…GCE is a C chord with a G in the bass, otherwise known as C/G.
Before I installed the update EZKeys would display C/G when playing that chord in the screencap (or any other slash chord)
Also it does this in stand-alone.

If it doesn’t do it when using good headphones it means you may need some room correction?

I sure would like to see the delete key added as a shortcut…been using EZKeys for a week now and still instinctively try it and then realize I have to right-click.
That said, I’m totally digging EZKeys : )

    Cool…what about a neapolitan chord?
    Thanks,

I love EZ Keys, I am using it for some days now, but I miss the other Keys we have in music theory.
Are you going to deliver these also ?

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !

I don’t understand what you’re asking for…those are modes not keys.
How would modes integrate into the circle of 5th GUI of EZK?
    Thanks,
    Randy

    Thanks John,
I’ve attached 3 screencaps that should answer any questions.
The one named “installed” includes the updates I installed from my account
“Version” is the reported version and “slash chord display” shows me holding a C/G but the GUI displaying a C.
This is all in the standalone. I just now opened an existing project in my host (Sonar X3e) and I get no sound or display from EZkeys when playing my controller. It plays the existing file fine but no realtime display of chords although I’m showing MIDI input and the track is configured correctly.

    Thanks again,
    Randy
