    Thank you.

If I read this correctly, it means it’s not possible to use this for Garageband Drummer then. Have you guys at Toontrack tried out the new Garageband Drummer?

Whoa, and I thought I checked with AD. I just tried AD again and indeed, choking does not work, even if Studio One’s MIDI Monitor shows
“Poly Pressure”. So AD has the same problem, and my memory of testing this was incorrect.

I apologise for blaming EZD. And I’m grateful you guys make Solo available for free. Very much appreciated. Error was all mine.

Any particular reason why you are not running the latest available version of EZdrummer (currently 1.3.3)?

None of the reported fixes for 1.3.3 seemed to apply to my issue. But, you’re right, I’ll try the latest version first and report back.

Could you please give us more details about your system?
Which version number is reported in the plugin interface?

I’m using EZDrummer 1.3.0 in Studio One 2.5.020189, OS X 10.8.4. I’m using Megadrum, which sends aftertouch
messages, and choking works fine when running EZD in Solo and Addictive Drums in Studio One.

    Thanks

I think that Studio One doesn’t support aftertouch but
you may want to check up on that yourself.

It does, as choking works with Addictive Drums. Does Solo translate Aftertouch to something else for EZD?

    Thanks

Ok, thanks. But what notes should I be triggering to get HH articulation using CC messages? And preferrably in Studio One rather than Solo.

    Thx

I’m trying EZDrummer Lite (1.3.1) and have setup my module to trigger Midi note 11 for “HH Edge” and note 12 for “HH Bow” and CC 4.
Using Midi Monitor, I can see that the correct CC messages are sent, and EZDrummer’s “Midi” icon lights up.

But, I can only hear closed hi-hat sounds. But, if I press the foot pedal down while hitting the HH, I get somewhat of an open sound.

Have also tried to run this inside Solo, with options “E-drums” and “CC Offset”, but same result. Can only hear the closed sound.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Andrej

BTW: I’ve used the same setting, only with different note values, for Addictive Drums Demo, and that supports all articulations, including
    foot splash and chick.
