It would be nice to have a freaking gong. As far as orchestral percussion, yes. It could work well in rock/metal songs in things like bridges, intros, etc.
All I can tell you is this: I purchased EZ Drummer 2 with 2 EZX libraries, “Rock” and “Metal.” NONE of the kits from either one shows up, even when I click on an instrument and choose the “Kits” button. All that shows are the same old kits from the standard EZ Drummer 2. Somehow, the libraries still show up, though. Not really happy with teh “Easy to use” purchase just yet.
