OK – after trying everything I could think of, I uninstalled EZKeys 64 bit and then reinstalled it. After reinstalling it, it ran fine. So if any of you out there run into problems with cracks and pops, it may not be your sound card, it may be EZ Keys, and it may EZ Keys did not install properly.

OK Scott – regarding our previous thread above, I’ve upgraded my DAW to Windows 7, a quad CPU, 8 gigs of memory, etc…. I went reload EZ Keys and although I attempted to load if from a DVD I had it saved on and used previously, it kept giving me the message that it could not find the source.

Before when I loaded EZ Keys into my previous DAW I loaded a 32 bit, and now trying to load a 64 bit. When I downloaded the program over the web right after purchase, was an option given to download either a 32 or 64 bit? Is that why I may be getting this message – because I loaded the 32bit and the computer is looking for the 64 bit? Shouldn’t the 32 bit load anyway?

    Thanks for the help….

Yes, I can upgrade to 2 GB of RAM – my motherboard will support that. Also, in standalone mode, the Delta card is the interface. Now, I’ve since discovered that the version of XP I am running, which is a 32 bit, doesn’t support a dual CPU although I installed it. So, it sounds like the 2 options I have are to: 1)either upgrade my RAM, or 2) go with another computer. I can update my software to a newer version of XP which will support a dual CPU and also install more memory, but I don’t know whether in the long run that is a cost efficient choice.

Thanks for you help. If you have any other ideas, I’d love to hear them.

In terms of buffer, I’ve adjusted from 256 to over 2000+ but no difference. The audio interface/soundcard is a Delta 1010LT. The program is MTS http://www.multitrackstudio.com/ ; same results in either stand alone or as VST (actually as VST it pulls too much CPU power and so I haven’t been able to use it as such yet). Also, I found out my version of XP will not support a dual core.

I hope that answers your questions. Thanks for your help.
