Are you able to refer me to someone that can? Thanks, Eric

ORIGINAL: Olle Oh I see you are on Logic. I thought you were on ProTools. Sorry, I have no idea whether you can do that in Logic.

Sorry to be a pest but any chance you can walk me through that? Thank you.

ORIGINAL: Olle I think you can choose to pick those outputs up with mono auxes.

Thanks Olle: But there is no true way to have them set to different channels? I’m assuming my friend wants to eq and separate each tom individually and seemingly the only way to do that is to have it on its own channel. Thank you, Eric

ORIGINAL: Olle You can route two toms to the same channel but pan them hard in each direction.

…which of course assumes you are loading your EZX in Superior 2…

    Hi John.
I’m not. I like the over all sound and tones of the toms themselves in Metal Machine EZX enough that I figured i’d just use them direct and tool them up with EZMix. Unfortunately, i’m not well versed enough (read: at all) to know how to get that sharp attack. Ideally, not sure if you’re familiar with their work, though Toontrack did just work with Andy Sneap, I’d like something in the vein of an Exodus sounding tom (check something from their most recent album for example). Something that captures the natural tone of the tom, gets it’s depth if you know what i mean, but also gets the high end and has the snap of the head being hit by the stick…not just dead or ringing out like crazy.

I’m using Logic Pro X if that helps at all.

So the guitar presets are for sculpting already amped guitars – It sounds like if I have a guitar tone dialed in, say for example from the metal amps pack, I would add it as a new effect on the guitar channel?

    Correct

Alright. I’ll have to give this a try. Stay tuned – since i’m an idiot, i’m sure you’ll hear back from me.

    Hey John:
Not sure if you had a chance to read my last post, just checking.

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi,

I may have misinterpreted ‘Clean’, I read it as ‘un-processed’ and upon re-reading your first post, I am pretty sure nothing is wrong.
These presets are mixer inserts and they do not contain Amp presets like the Metal Amps pack. So the guitar presets are for sculpting already amped guitars.

    BR,
    John

That seems to make sense. In that case, how would I apply them to hear the effect? Sorry to be a bother/novice. I’m used to the amplification packs that you have and not whatever this is, so I just want to make sure I didn’t download something that it doesn’t make sense for me to have. How does it work? From this – So the guitar presets are for sculpting already amped guitars – It sounds like if I have a guitar tone dialed in, say for example from the metal amps pack, I would add it as a new effect on the guitar channel? Just trying to clarify.

    Thanks!

    John,
Unfortunately it’s still not working. It’s coming through as clean when applied to the direct signal.
Not sure what kind of shots you’re looking for but let me know if this helps.
