a ‘ripple edit’ feature, which moves events following the event that is being dragged when enabled.
Thank you, that did it.
I was also confusing which direction would be more open and which more closed, but that was easy enough to figure out once I put the hits on the correct ‘trigger’ articulations.
Thanks, that sounds like it’s it, however I’m using Reaper.
Do you know what specific plugin in Logic does this? Or is it a native cell grid?
I was also hoping SD3 had native ability to at least assign midi to its internal track tab selection.

Make the “Choke/Mute Trigger” property box visible, select the cymbals and you can turn off aftertouch for them.
That’s the ticket!

Thanked by: dbarthRight, a choke. At least now I know how to refer to it.
I’m not sure which part of the stick can be directed in the plugin. But there’s certainly plenty of open Hi-Hat samples on offer.
I guess I could use a closed hi-hat to choke the open one, and mute the closed hi-hat hit so that it only chokes and doesn’t sound.
Using a Launchpad X.
Ah, I think I see where you’re going with this. Unfortunately no unique midi value is mapped. Just the same one as the normal hit.
Doesn’t matter… easy enough to turn it off from the hardware and back on when I need it.
Ah yes of course – really easy fix. Just click the power on button for each articulation from the dropdown within the plugin. Thanks
Completely understand the complication here, in that the mics configuration differs in each library.
I will take your word of advice and put in that one-off investment to set my libraries up properly. This is what I had intended to do originally, but I thought I’d check and see if there was some way around it that I was missing.
Thank you Erik.
Just meaning the routing Out1/2, Out 3/4 – does SD3 have a feature that can make that stay constant when loading a different mixer configuration?

Legend! thank you!
Do you know if it’s possible to lock the mixer routing while flicking through various mixer preset plugin configs? Or is the routing hard-wired to all mixer presets?
thx
