  • Deinstalling the “Fast Track Driver” did the job!

I could start the App, changed the audio device to a different one, reinstalled the  “Fast Track Driver” and now the Standalone Version runs as expected.

Thanks a lot for the help!

P.S.: It could be great if the app could still run/load, even with an unsupported audio device, so that the audio preferences can be changed from inside the app.

    Hallo Olof,

How it looks the command was correctly executed, but the problems remains:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17134.523]
    (c) 2018 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Users\Odysseas>reg add HKCU\SOFTWARE\Toontrack\EZdrummer\Host64 /v AudioAPI /t REG_SZ /d "Windows Audio" /f
    The operation completed successfully.

    C:\Users\Odysseas>reg query HKCU\SOFTWARE\Toontrack\EZdrummer\Host64 /v Audio*

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Toontrack\EZdrummer\Host64
AudioOutDevice REG_SZ Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO
    AudioAPI REG_SZ Windows Audio

End of search: 2 match(es) found.

I will deinstall the “Fast Track Driver” and try to load the EZdrummer.

Hallo Olof and thanks for the response.

Unfortunately the the audio device “M-Audio Fast Track Pro” updates have being discontinued. I have already the last update installed.

This Command Prompt command you sent me:

    reg add HKCU\SOFTWARE\Toontrack\EZdrummer\Host64 /v AudioAPI /t REG_SZ /d "Windows Audio" /f

did not enable me to start the 64-bit standalone so I can select a different audio device. I still get a crash dump.

Do I have to change/edit the command in any way? Sorry I am not familiar with programming…

Thanks in advance for your time!

    Hallo Pelle,

Why you don’t want to export the track as an audio file (.wav/ mp3)?

Does Studio One support audio files?

This is the only way for your friend to hear the drums, the way you do.

You could export the track as a midi file, but if your friend should map the midi data to trigger the same intruments.

General Midi does not work with EzD. It has to many articulations and drumkits.

in Cubase for example (but I guess it works with every DAW), you can create two instrument-tracks, load on each an EZD instance and let them play simultaneously.
