THANKYOU!!! All sorted. All my other apps (Reaper/Garageband/Imovie) all working again as well. Had a friend download and install the core library and progressive foundry for me. 6 hours to do 350GB. I just purchased Rooms of Hansa. Currently 19 hours in, 107gb done, 14 to go! Toaster internet!

Roger that gotcha, thank you for laying it out like that, I think I get it now

Is the stored download loacation on HDD important? Can I just put it in Users/Documents on a Mac and not need to worry?

Then install them to the SSD and clear HDD after?

    many thanks

So I’ve reinstalled the standalone program on my HDD and the Toontrack folder has reappeared in Applications with the standalone program and product manager. It all loads and works. I just need to download the files again which I’m planning to have a friend do on faster internet. Hopefully I’m on the right track with:

    1. Take Mac to friend
    2. Click red download button on part 1/2/3/4 and additional bleed
    3. Download them to HDD.
    4. Collect Mac, bring it home, click the install button for part 1, select where to install sounds > browse > select SSD
    5. Repeat the install for parts 2/3/4 and additional bleed, selecting the SSD as the install location each time
    6. Job done and I now have 250gb free space on my HDD and the sound libraries on SSD, then set up paths in sd3?
    7. Download Progressive Foundry, set install location as SSD?

    Hello again

I was hoping to be able to have all the sound libraries on the SSD including the core. Is this possible? I share this Mac with my partner. Before I deleted it we had 20gb of storage left and it was starting to cause us grief, which is where the SSD idea came from. If I’m to download part 1/2/3/4 to my HDD I’ll be pretty much in the same situation again. I wanted to have them on the SSD then I’d finally be able to use Progressive Foundry as well which I own and was thinking of buying Rooms of Hansa.

Am I stuffed? My partner can’t / won’t delete stuff off the Mac.

    Many thanks

I’ve since found ToonTrack Product Manager Preferences > Download Location, and changed it to my SSD

So do I just need to download and install the 663 mb SD3 standalone program on my HDD then I can put part 1, 2, 3, 4 and additional bleed/sdx on my SSD?

    many thanks

So should I just download everything my HDD and move it to SDD afterwards?

I read back on the first reply and saw it said about setting the download path to my SSD. I clicked ‘instillation info’ on Part 1 Sound Library in Product manager, clicked clear path, tried to set the path to my SSD, it just says ‘set path to installed library’ and if I click my SSD it says the selected folder is not a valid instillation.

I’m due to take the Mac to a friends for him to download it as my internet is just far too slow, just want to clear this up before I take it to him.

Thanks guys for all your help. Sorry for my noobieness.

Thanks for the reply. I only realised afterwards I could and should have just moved the library. Saw some conflicting posts on how to’s and got confused.

I’ll get to downloading everything again, I’ll be back and update this post in 10 years when it’s finally finished downloading
