But still, EZDRUMMER being as smart as it is, it could think of that note (that is slightly before the beat) as still belonging to the same drum part, because that’s where I drew the note and not merge the parts.

You are right. When I wrote the post, I described what I remembered happens.

I did a screen capture and it did NOT happen as I described it, however IT DID happen but under slightly different circumstances:

I can see it happens if you have a song part and you split it and then modify the note at the split point.

Still wish I could disable that.
